Did you know that cigarette butts are the #1 most littered item on U.S. beaches and waterways?

Most butts are tossed on streets and sidewalks, where rain washes them into storm drains. From there, they travel straight into rivers, lakes, beaches, and oceans 🌊

And here’s the kicker:
⚠️ Cigarette filters are made of plastic
⚠️ They do not biodegrade
⚠️ They pile up on shorelines—or sink to the bottom of our waters
⚠️ Wildlife can mistake them for food

What looks small adds up to a massive environmental problem.

🚨 Alcohol Poisoning: Know the Signs. It Can Save a Life. 🚨

Alcohol poisoning is a medical emergency—not just “sleeping it off.” If you see someone with any of these signs, get help immediately.

❗ What to do:
📞 Call 911 right away
🚫 Don’t leave them alone
🚫 Don’t assume they’ll “be fine”

Looking out for friends is real care. When in doubt, call for help. 💙

Since co***ne is a potent stimulant, it can negatively impact both sleep and energy levels.

Co***ne increases dopamine levels which can lead to increased energy and heightened alertness.

Co***ne can cause insomnia, a reduced need for sleep, distrusted sleep patterns, REM sleep suppression, and even increase nightmares.

Co***ne can lead to a surge in energy and alertness, but there is always an end.

After the effects wear off, users experience an intense crash, which can lead to extreme fatigue and exhaustion.

Co***ne can cause insomnia, a reduced need for sleep, disrupted sleep patterns, REM sleep suppression, and even increase nightmares.

“It’s not about what has happened in the past. You need to be aware of it, but you need to focus on what you can do and help to change it going forward.” – Steve, a parent from Arizona.

If your child is using drugs or mentally struggling, getting involved early can make all the difference.

Stress is a normal part of life, and taking substances can seem like an easy way to deal with it, but there are much safer and better methods for stress relief.

Some of these methods include:

1. Physical activity: Exercise is a fantastic way to relieve stress, as it eases muscle tension and releases dopamine. Go on a walk, join a local gym, take a dance class, etc. Find the perfect method for you!
2. Meditation: Meditation is a cheap and easy way to relieve stress. You can use this method to relax and cope with stress by focusing on things that calm you. Go online and research meditation methods and find the one that works for you!
3. Connect with others: Seeking support from friends, family, peers, etc. can help you through stressful periods. Sharing the details surrounding your stress can even help lift some weight off of your shoulders.
4. Find new hobbies: A calming hobby can help you focus on things you enjoy rather than the stress in your life.

If you still feel inclined to use substances, contact a counselor, a trusted family member or friend, a Substance Abuse and Counseling Center, or other professionals that can help you make safe and healthy choices.
