Everyone, meet Lauryn!

Lauryn is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi’s Masters Counseling program. Lauryn has a passion for counseling women, especially women/couples dealing with infertility and women seeking to grow their spiritual health. Lauryn’s goal is to steward her client’s time well and to make sure her clients feel welcomed and respected as they seek services. Lauryn and her husband love their two dogs, their friends and family, exercising, and good food.

A fun fact about Lauryn is that she loves to thrift!
Lauryn’s favorite meal includes the shrimp tacos from Keg and Barrel with pico de gallo, black beans, chipotle sour cream, and salsa.

Everyone, meet Mary!

Our clinic could not function without Mary! She works daily with our team to complete all scheduling, billing and administrative tasks. Mary has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Northwestern State University. She is passionate about helping others, as is seen through her selfless work across all 4 of our organization’s family service programs. Mary is a wife of 12 years and is a mother of 3 beautiful children. Mary’s personality is full of warmth and peace, making her an excellent person for new clients to come in contact with.

A fun fact about Mary is that she is Native American, and her maiden name is Bearsheart.
Mary’s favorite meal is a variety of tacos including street tacos, Indian tacos, and shrimp tacos.

Everyone, meet Kristi!

Kristi is a Marriage and Family Therapist, specializing in trauma-informed systemic therapy. After experiencing personal family trauma, Kristi left her job as a dental hygienist and decided to pursue her deepest desire to help others. She returned to school to be a therapist, and her first mission is to create a collaborative and non-judgemental environment for her clients. Kristi is a wife of 20 years, a mother to 2 daughters, and a major animal lover.

A fun fact about Kristi is that she loves to rescue stray animals.
Kristi’s favorite meal is lasagna, and her favorite snack is candy corn.

Everyone, meet Timm and Dr. Titus!

Timm is a graduate of Liberty University’s Integrated Professional Counseling Program. Timm is passionate about working with blended families and helping them through the challenges they face. Timm retired from the military after 23 years of both peacetime and combat service. Timm is a husband, a father, a grandfather, and a follower of Christ.

A fun fact about Timm is that he has lived in South and Central America! His favorite meal includes southern pink-eyed purple hull peas, cornbread, and thin-sliced fried pork chops with a cup of sweet tea and a bowl of pecan pie/vanilla ice cream.

Dr. Titus is a 10-month-old Newfy-Doodle breed and has completed his basic and intermediate stages of therapy dog training. Dr. Titus is a warm and welcoming presence for all staff and clients, especially children. His favorite treat is dried liver. He loves to quietly participate in therapy sessions as he offers his comfort and support to our clients.

Everyone, meet David and Juli Martinez!

David is the Clinical Director and Lead Therapist of Hope Community Counseling. David received his master’s degree from Liberty University and is a bilingual licensed professional counselor/supervisor (LPC-S) for the State of Mississippi. As a supervisor, David provides his team with a wealth of wisdom and direction regarding treatment. A fun fact about David is that he learned Spanish while playing soccer in the streets of Mexico City. His favorite meal is tacos al pastor.

Juli is the Executive Director of Hope Community Counseling. Juli is the backbone of the organization and serves others with the utmost integrity and care. A fun fact about Juli is that she enjoys hip-hop music and tending to the variety of real plants housed in our office locations. Her favorite meal is black coffee.

David and Juli have been married for 16 years, and together they have 3 children. They have also served as Lead Pastors of Vida Hattiesburg, a bilingual community of faith in Hattiesburg for the past 12 years.
