Today was nothing short of incredible! You showed up and brought the smiles, encouragement, positive energy, and most importantly, hearts full of love for our cancer patients.
Looking around today and seeing so many people come together for one purpose was truly overwhelming. Some of you ran for someone you love. Some walked in memory of someone you miss. Others came simply because you wanted to make a difference. Whatever brought you to Fuel to Fight, please know how much your presence meant.
Today was about so much more than a race. Behind every mile is a patient facing one of the hardest battles of their life. A patient who may be worried about how they’ll afford the gas to get to their next treatment. A patient who needs to know their community is standing behind them.
Today, YOU showed those patients that they are not fighting alone. Because of your generosity, we can continue helping patients get to the treatments they need. What may seem like a simple race registration to you can mean one less worry for someone fighting cancer.
To every participant, sponsor, volunteer, donor, and supporter, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You are the reason Fuel to Fight continues to grow, and you are the reason we can continue making a difference.
Five years ago, we started with a simple mission of helping our patients get to treatment. To see what this community has turned that mission into is something we will never be able to put into words.
We hope when you look back on today, you remember more than the miles you completed or the time on the clock. We hope you remember the lives you are helping change. You didn’t just cross a finish line today. You helped someone else continue their fight.
We are forever grateful for each and every one of you. Together, we fueled the fight. Together, we fueled hope!
