Hello everyone! Sigma Sigma Phi-Alpha Mu chapter will be hosting a William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine virtual Walk for Diabetes this October 31st, 2020 from 10AM-11AM at Long Leaf Trace in Hattiesburg, MS. SSP is an honorary osteopathic service fraternity and we wanted to participate in the annual Walk for Diabetes event because this event has been special for many students, faculty, and staff at WCUCOM over the years. Our very own "Hattiesburg Honorary Chair" Dr. Robert Bateman will be joining and helping to lead us on the virtual walk on Halloween morning. All funds raised for this event will go to the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi to further promote awareness and provide information and supplies to children, teens, parents, and schools in Mississippi. Anyone who would like to participate with us on Halloween may join as long as they adhere to Mayor Barker's executive order for COVID-19 for outdoor events. Feel free to wear a costume, take photos and if you would like you can use the hashtags . If you're unable to join us, we would greatly appreciate any donations or support in any way to help the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi! Thank you!
