HRT Scholarship Applications Being Accepted by Point of Pride Now!

For all of you out there who may be interested. We announced a couple months ago that we have been selected as one of the clinic organizations to partner with the nonprofit organization Point of Pride for their HRT scholarship program. The cycle is now open and accepting applications. This is open to patients in any state. They will stop accepting applications by June 30, so be sure to put yours in if you are interested. If selected for an HRT scholarship, Point of Pride will cover 100% of the costs of the clinic monthly fees along with any costs associated with your medications and lab work. It is all inclusive. They will cover these costs for one year. Additionally, there is the opportunity to apply for a second and third year of assistance, though the amount of assistance would reduce to 66% the second year and 33% the third year.

If you have questions about this program, please go to the website below and direct your questions straight to Point of Pride staff members. We have no control or knowledge of their requirements as the program is run by their organization and not ours. We are simply being honored by being chosen as a potential clinic site recipient for people to apply for their scholarship funding to be used at. This Transgender Day of Remembrance hit hard. I've lost two patients of my own this very year, one very recently. I try not to drown in sorrow and instead celebrate that they lived as themselves openly. But it is hard sometimes. So hard.
For those no longer with us, you made everything brighter, better. It will take years to grow my own light back enough to clear out the shadows left by your absence. I will try to only remember your smiles when I think of you. 💜
