The Ambassadors program is open to college students of all majors.

The Forrest General Hospital’s Ambassadors Program is designed to complement and enhance the patient care experience by allowing students to provide important non-clinical support to patients, their families, visitors, and staff. They are unique individuals willing to learn about our organization to meet the needs of those we serve. The program features mature, friendly, and outgoing students that

desire to make a difference in people’s lives. Ambassadors can be identified by green blazers, which help them stand out to our patients, guests, and staff.

Happy National Volunteer Month! Meet Nate, a Biological Sciences major at the University of Southern Mississippi. Since May 2023, he has been a dedicated Ambassador at Forrest General Hospital. Nate’s favorite part of volunteering is building meaningful connections with patients, offering support and kindness during what may be a difficult time for them. We’re grateful for his compassion and commitment!

Happy National Volunteer Month! Meet Ariel Miller, a third-year Ambassador student whose warm demeanor is a cherished asset to the Ambassadors program! She finds joy in listening to patients during rounds, often engaging in heartfelt conversations that can extend for 20-30 minutes, and she couldn’t love it more! Volunteers like Ariel truly make a difference in the lives of our patients!
