Thank you to everyone who has donated, assisted, recited poems online, tuned into and attended our reading this past Saturday!

We are here today to not just talk about poetry- but about people. We are a part of a grassroots initiative called Word to Table- a free literary event happening on Saturday, July 5th at 3pm in Greenfield, Massachusetts. We are combining incredible poetry with a powerful cause; fighting hunger in our community.

Don't forget to register to attend our reading—live or virtually—happening this Saturday, July 5th. And don't forget to donate! Families and farmers need our help.

Sean Sutherland is one of the amazing writers who will be reading at our event. He is the recipient of The James Dickey Prize for poetry for 2025/2026, awarded by Five Points Literary Journal. He has had poems published in Atlanta Review, The Florida Review, The Sandhills Literary magazine, Hypertext, The Sky Island Journal, among other journals, along with the anthology The Writers Studio at 30 and The Maine Review, for which he won honorable mention for their poetry prize in 2015. He was nominated for a Pushcart by the literary magazine Sleet in 2019. He was also nominated for a 2023 Pushcart Prize by its panel of guest editors. Two of his poems were selected for an anthology titled, Poetry for the Actor: A Guide to Deeper Truth. Sean is a MacDowell Colony Fellow and would like to find more time for camping in a tent!

Another one of our wonderful poets for the reading this Saturday is Jaya Tripathi.

Jaya has worked as an actor and a human rights documentation expert. Her poetry has appeared in Pleiades, and she was nominated for a Pushcart Prize by New Ohio Review in 2024. She is a student at The Writers Studio and splits her time between New York and Virginia.
