It doesn't happen often so it's always exciting to have a photo that I've never seen before added to our collection! This great photo from 1928 shows a well being tested on the former Geo, S. Snyder mill property. The Snyder's office building is seen in the background.

Sadly, last night, Hatfield Borough Council approved the ordinance change that will mean the demolition of the former Snyder's hardware store building. Thank you to all those who came to the meeting last night. This photo shows the Snyder's complex soon after the hardware store was built in 1939.

There is a lot to see in this undated aerial photo of Union, Cherry, and Market Streets!
The Estate of Geo. S. Snyder Hardware/Feed/Lumber store (notice that HATFIELD is painted on the roof of one of the buildings to help pilots identify the town for navigation) - the livestock pens on the railroad property - Knipe's Hotel & Detweiler's Store at the corner of Broad and Market Streets - and lots of open farmland in the township fields in the background.
