Congratulations to Gracin on his first buck, A BUCK OF A LIFETIME!

This hunt was extra special and represents so much more than just a successful hunt. It represents a community coming together to invest in a young man.

Exactly what is meant when it is said,
“It takes a village”

A huge thank you to Lee Nobmann and Dixie Valley Ranch for donating a deer tag to the CDA Intermountain Chapter, and to Donn Walgamuth, Steve Boero, and the CDA Intermountain Chapter for choosing to give that tag to a young man in Father’s Tracks. What an incredible opportunity to invest in the next generation!

The hunt, the r***e, and the memories mean so much-- but the greatest impact is knowing that people

sacrifice for him,
and show up for him
to remind him that he matters.

That's what it's all about- creating opportunities, building relationships, and reminding young men that they are valued, supported, and worth investing in.

We are incredibly humbled and grateful to be surrounded by a community that invests in the next generation. We truly believe that moments like this can and do make a lasting difference in a young man’s life.

Hunting isn't all about the kill.

It's actually just a tiny part of it.

Hunting is a skill,
a hobby,
it puts meat on the table,
it's a way of life.

But here's what else hunting does:
IT TEACHES.

Hunting teaches--

•patience and learning to control impulse.

•not giving up when you get tired or circumstances get tough.

•commitment, showing up early and staying late.

•when you can't control, you can adapt.

•preparation builds confidence and responsibility.

•not every moment requires action, some just require attention.

•respect for God's creation and for the animal that provides.

And that's exactly why we are passionate about getting kids in the outdoors and teaching them to hunt.

These two young men were fortunate enough to fill their tags last weekend at deer camp. And absolutely there was a celebration back at camp!!!

But just as rewarding, is being able to teach harvesting techniques, exploring the anatomy of the animal, learning how to utilize every bit of the meat and not letting anything go to waste, and how it brings people and family together.

Watching these boys work hard to learn a new skill and get to put meat on the table for their families was pretty stellar.
We got to have them out to the ranch and all shared stories as we worked together to cut, wrap, and fill those freezers!
..and that's exactly why we do it!

As we wrap up a very busy summer and settle into fall, we wanted to take the time to recap some of our latest events, activities, and share our biggest and most exciting news!

And while this news is a HUGE milestone for us, "it's not the finish line; rather, it's just the beginning!"

This summer, young people from nine different communities joined us for hunting and fishing trips, camps, rafting, and other outdoor adventures. We had a lot of fun, we learned new skills, and we made some great memories. But what we are most thankful for, is what Jesus did. SEVEN YOUNG PEOPLE

D E E R C A M P 2 0 2 6 🦌🌲

Last night wrapped up a really great weekend- our 3rd annual deer camp.

Something really great happens when we unplug- from work and chores, tasks and places to be, phones and social media- and get out in God's creation.

Without the distractions and pressures of busy schedules and screens, we are able to fully unplug and submerge in God’s awesome beauty, the quietness and stillness of the woods, and a deeper connection with God and with each other.

It's so simple really, but something we often miss out on unless we seek it.
And it never disappoints.

This year we had 5 junior hunters with deer tags, 3 with bear tags, and 2 went home with tags filled and freezers full!

Congratulations to Teddy on his very first buck!!! And Caleb on his second buck, a 400 yd dead eye shot!!! Couldn't be happier for or more proud of these young men!

You just can't beat the time together, the friendships made, the early sunrises and incredible sunsets, the lessons learned and the hard work paying off. It was an honest joy to see these young men work together, encourage each other, teach and learn from one another.

Thank you to those who made it happen-
Zach and Karissa, Kevin, Macky, Chad and Tony for giving your weekend, traveling hours to get here, taking time off work, to spend with these young men and instill knowledge and skill and to invest in our youth. You were instrumental in making the weekened what it was.
And to those who donated to this and give regularly to make weekends like this happen! It takes a lot to put on trips like this and we are so grateful to each person who played a part. Thank you for believing in and supporting the mission and our next generation!

FATHER'S TRACKS is hosting a range day at the Hat Creek R***e Range on Thursday, September 10th.

If you need to dust off or sight in your r***e, or just have a gun you want to get out and shoot, now is the time!

Appreciation post for the guys who made camp happen! 💪💪

Thank you Zach, Jason, Nate, Cort and Killian for giving your weekend to spend with and invest in the young men who came to camp. Thank you for your nonstop effort and help, for going above and beyond, for being the kind of men these boys can look up to, and for being such a huge part in making the weekend what it was.

Fun fact: Cort and Killian were a part of the very first boys camp that Father's Tracks put on back in 2020. And since then have both participated in and now help lead numerous projects, trips and events for boys younger than them. Watching them grow and mature into the hardworking, generous, faith filled young men that they are has been such a privilege. We are super proud of them both, and are equally thankful and honored to have them a part of what we are doing, as well as getting to be a part of their lives as well. They are a testament to what Father's Tracks is all about. Thank you for serving and working so hard and for being such great leaders at camp this summer!
