The invisible Universe - Hubble was able to unscramble a galaxy blocked by a star. Pretty nice work. The DSES Paul Plishner radio telescope near Haswell CO can visualize what we cannot see in visible light.

NASA announces June 9 who the Artemis III crew will be.

On Tuesday, June 9, we’ll announce the four astronauts who will orbit Earth aboard the NASA Artemis III mission!

Watch our live event at 11 a.m. EDT (1500 UTC) to learn about the crew and their mission to test rendezvous and docking capabilities between Orion and commercial human landing systems — a critical step needed to deliver astronauts to the surface of the Moon. https://www.nasa.gov/news-release/nasa-to-announce-artemis-iii-crew-provide-mission-progress-update/

Sounding is taking place in Eads. This a a way storm chasers like Vince Waelti determine how likely we will see severe weather we experience in SE Colorado.

Sounding is in progress from Eads, Colorado! We will know shortly just how favorable the atmosphere is for severe weather. Track the data here: https://sonde.projectweathereye.org/viewer/IMET-79CC7A1D

How does dark energy work? And why is the universe expanding faster and faster. The new Nancy Grace
Roman Space telescope may answer the questions with its huge aperture. Check it out!

While the world is focused on Artemis and James Webb…
NASA has quietly been preparing the next telescope that could change astronomy forever. 🔭

Meet the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope.

At first glance, it may look like another Hubble-style observatory.
But Roman is built on an entirely different scale.

Its field of view will be 200 times larger than Hubble’s.

That means images which once took Hubble years to create…
Roman could capture in just hours. 🌌

The famous Andromeda mosaic made from 400 Hubble images and 3 years of work?
Roman could photograph the same region in only two images.

And this is where things become almost unbelievable:

During its mission, Roman is expected to observe:
✨ 100,000 exoplanets
✨ hundreds of millions of galaxies
✨ billions of stars

Scientists hope it could help answer one of the biggest mysteries in physics:

Why is the Universe expanding faster and faster?

In other words… what exactly is dark energy?

And maybe the most beautiful part of this story is the name behind the telescope.

Nancy Grace Roman earned her astronomy degree in 1949 — at a time when women were rarely welcomed into the field. She later became NASA’s first Chief of Astronomy and fought to make the Hubble Space Telescope possible.

Hubble changed humanity’s understanding of the cosmos.

Now its successor carries her name.

A Super El Niño is waking up. View from space!

🌍⚠️ Something massive is waking up in the Pacific Ocean… and scientists are watching closely.

A powerful El Niño event is now forming, and new 2026 climate models suggest it could become one of the strongest ever recorded. Some researchers are even comparing it to the devastating 1877 El Niño — a disaster linked to global famine, crop collapse, and the deaths of millions of people.

But this time, there’s one terrifying difference:

The planet is already hotter than ever before. 🔥

Ocean temperatures are breaking records. Ice is disappearing. Coral reefs are bleaching. And if this “Super El Niño” fully develops, it could supercharge heatwaves, floods, droughts, wildfires, and food shortages across the globe.

This isn’t just about weather anymore.
It’s about water. Food. Energy. Entire ecosystems. Entire communities.

🌊 Warm waters in one part of the Pacific can reshape rainfall and storms thousands of miles away — affecting countries that may never even see the ocean itself.

Scientists warn that 2026 could push Earth into a period of climate extremes unlike anything modern civilization has experienced.

And perhaps the most unsettling part?
We are watching it happen in real time.

🌎 Nature has always been powerful.
But now, humanity’s influence on the climate may be amplifying these natural cycles into something far more dangerous.

Do you think the world is truly prepared for what’s coming? 🤔
