Missouri Workers: Vote August 4!

Two constitutional amendments on Missouri’s August 4 ballot could have a major impact on workers.

❌ Amendment 4 would make it harder for citizens to change Missouri’s Constitution.

❌ Amendment 5 could increase costs for working families and reduce funding for public schools.

USW District 11 encourages all members to get informed, check your voter registration, and make your voice heard on August 4.

Look out for your fellow Oil workers!

Protect Good Union Jobs! Hawaii’s only refinery and more than 200 USW jobs are at risk.

A proposal to expand the use of imported liquefied natural gas (LNG) could force the closure of Par Hawaii, putting hundreds of family-supporting union jobs and thousands more throughout the local economy in jeopardy. It would also weaken Hawaii’s energy security at a time when reliable domestic fuel production matters more than ever.

We’ve seen the devastating impact refinery closures have on workers and communities across the country. We can’t let it happen again.

Take a moment to send a message to Governor Green urging him to protect Hawaii’s only refinery, preserve good union jobs, and pursue an energy future that supports both workers and responsible environmental goals.

Wade Allen Roeker our brother, our friend and mentor to many was taken from us way to soon. Please keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.

Wade's greatest joy was his family. He was a devoted husband to Kim and a loving father to Ryan and Ally. The love he had for his family was evident in everything he did.

For 33 years, Wade was a USW Local 662 member and Flint Hills Resources employee, earning the respect and admiration of everyone who was fortunate enough to know him. For 30 of those years, he proudly served on the Pine Bend Emergency Response Team. As a volunteer firefighter, he found great purpose in serving and protecting others with quiet courage and unwavering commitment.

More than his years of service, Wade will be remembered for his character. Ask anyone who knew him, and you'll hear the same descriptions: one of the nicest people you could ever meet, kind, patient, generous, funny, and genuinely caring, Wade had a way of making everyone feel welcome and valued. Whether offering a helping hand or sharing a laugh, he left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

We are grateful for the privilege of knowing Wade and for the example he set through a life of service, compassion, and kindness. His legacy will live on in the countless lives he touched.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Family members are welcome to arrive as early as 8:00 a.m. A memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m., followed by a luncheon.
