We just sent out bags #1000, #1001, and #1002! 🎉

We’ve officially crossed the incredible milestone of 1,000 children served since Threads of Grace began — and we’re already at 111 kids helped in 2026!

Every single one of these duffels means a child in foster care or crisis received brand-new clothing, a warm coat, pajamas, socks, a blanket, and a stuffed animal to hold tight — all when they needed it most.

This moment feels huge. Thank you to every single person who has donated, volunteered, prayed, or shared our mission along the way. This milestone belongs to all of us.

Here’s to the next 1,000 kids! 💚💙

Today is National Foster Care Day, and May is National Foster Care Month.

Every 2 minutes, a child in the United States enters the foster care system — stepping into fear, uncertainty, and a brand-new chapter.

At Threads of Grace, we believe that moment matters deeply. Instead of arriving with nothing but the clothes on their backs, we want every child in Adams County to receive a brand-new duffel filled with clothing, a warm coat, pajamas, socks, underwear, a soft blanket, and a stuffed animal to hold tight — so they feel seen, cared for, and wrapped in dignity from the very beginning.

Tomorrow is the BIG DAY — Give Hastings Day!

Early giving is happening right now, and every donation you make will go directly toward more duffels for local kids who need them most.

How can you help? Go to givehastings.org and search “Threads of Grace” and DONATE!

Thank you for standing with us during National Foster Care Month and for helping us make sure no child in our community has to face their hardest day feeling cold or unseen.

Let’s make tomorrow’s Give Hastings Day a powerful day of hope for Adams County kids! 💚💙

Dennis Gengenbach’s Lasting Gift

Dennis and his wife Janice have been incredible, longtime supporters of Threads of Grace. Their generosity and kindness have touched the lives of so many children in Adams County over the years. We truly adored Dennis — his quiet strength, his big heart, and his steadfast commitment to helping others.

We are deeply grateful that, in lieu of flowers, the family asked for memorials to be directed to Threads of Grace. Every gift in Dennis’s honor will be used to provide brand-new clothing and essentials to children in crisis — wrapping them in the same dignity and care that Dennis and Janice have shown our community for so long.

Dennis, thank you for your friendship, your support, and the lasting impact you’ve made. You will be greatly missed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Janice, Nate & Nikki, Darcy, and the entire family during this time.

Rest in peace, Dennis. đź’šđź’™
