This week Dan Peters was recognized as our Sunrise Rotary President Elect Nominee. Dan will follow Craig Kautz and take over the role as Sunrise President for the 2028-2029 year. Congratulations Dan! Mayor Jay Becky presented to Sunrise Rotary this week about the mayoral platform he ran on and the status of his goals. Mayor Becky opened up the forum and gladly answered questions from Rotarians.

This morning, Jen Raemaekers of Aurora came and presented to Sunrise Rotary this morning regarding the amazing work that she and her husband are doing in Uganda. They are partnering with several local Rotary clubs in hopes of obtaining a global grant to assist with their work.

On Tuesday, July 28th Kevin Kubo, Director of City Development and Ember Bateman, City Planner presented to Sunrise Rotary about their efforts to simplify the city codes and new zoning designations. Sunrise Rotarian Cam Moyer was recognized for being our Membership chair. Thanks Cam!
