📣 Holiday Closure Reminder! 📣

Rivertown Treasures will be CLOSED Saturday, September 5th, and both Rivertown Treasures and Hastings Family Service will be CLOSED Monday, September 7th in observance of Labor Day.

A friendly reminder: Please do not leave donations outside our doors while we are closed. Donations left outside cannot be accepted. We are so grateful for your generosity and would love to receive your donations when we reopen on Tuesday, September 8th! 🫶

✨ Thank you for volunteering at Rivertown Treasures, Corah! ✨

✨Volunteer Spotlight ✨

Thank you to Corah for selecting HFS to fulfill your volunteer hours at Rivertown Treasures Thrift Store this summer as part of your Business 200 class at the University of St. Thomas! Corah has a heartfelt connection to volunteering here through her great grandpa, Lew Linde, who cofounded and supported HFS in many ways, including starting our first endowment.

When asked what she has enjoyed most about volunteering Corah indicates, "Every volunteer and staff member is so kind and welcoming. Everyone shares the common goal of supporting the Hastings community."

Corah also shared that she has learned that hunger is hidden and one cannot make assumptions about neighbors -- anyone can be struggling, even if it's not obvious.

Thank you, Corah, for your service this summer and the joy you have brought! We wish you much success as you pursue your finance major!
