Hosting Give Hastings Day is one of many ways we support the nonprofit community in Adams County! We are looking forward to year #13!

The Hastings Community Foundation started Give Hastings Day 13 years ago with one goal in mind. To raise awareness and dollars about the local nonprofits here in Adams County.

In February of 2001, the Hastings Community Foundation asked Stephanie Bliss to spend a few weeks working for us. 25 years later, she's still hard at work and we're so grateful.

The Hastings Community Foundation has announced recipients of their 2026 Community Grants. Because of our Community Grants Endowment, the Hastings Community Foundation distributes more than $115,000 annually to Adams County nonprofits.

In 2025, the Hastings Community Foundation facilitated the distribution of more than $3 million to the nonprofit community through grants, scholarships and other support. For more information, including a full list of grant recipients, visit hastingscommunityfoundation.org/grants-1

We knew our new space was special and the national magazine, Retrofit, agrees. The Hastings Community Foundation's new home was highlighted in an article this week.

It’s exciting to see our community’s story and vision shared on a national stage.

When Dan Peters, executive director of the Hastings Community Foundation, and Maggie Esch, board president of the Schnase 1906 District, identified the Stein Building as a potential shared home, they saw not only a practical location, but a chance to rekindle a piece of local heritage.
