As Give Hastings Day comes to a close, we just want to say thank you. Truly.

This was Joshua’s House’s very first year participating in Give Hastings Day, and the amount of support we received from this community has meant more than we can properly put into words. To everyone who donated, shared our posts, liked our content, talked about our mission, encouraged others to support us, or simply believed in what we are trying to build — thank you.

Starting something new can feel overwhelming at times, but this experience reminded us that Hastings is filled with people who care deeply about families, hope, stability, and making a difference in the lives of others. Every share, every comment, every dollar donated, and every kind word helped spread awareness about Joshua’s House and brought us one step closer to making this vision a reality.

Joshua’s House was created with the goal of building something meaningful for families who need support, structure, and a path forward. Seeing this community rally behind that mission during our very first Give Hastings Day has been incredibly humbling.

We are beyond grateful for the support, encouragement, and belief you have shown us.

This is only the beginning, and we cannot wait to continue growing alongside this amazing community.

Today is Give Hastings Day, and we are asking our community to stand with families who are struggling to find stability, hope, and a safe place to land.

Joshua’s House was created with a dream to help families with children obtain and maintain housing while providing support, life skills, and encouragement along the way. Every donation, prayer, share, and act of support helps us move one step closer to making that dream a reality.

Here's the big question.

What is Joshua's House?

We get it!

We are new, and people want to know where they are donating their hard earned money.

So here's the answer. ⬇

We are small. We are learning. We are growing.

Joshua’s House is a developing non-profit built around one core belief:
Families deserve stability, support, and a real path forward—not just temporary solutions. Our long-term vision is to provide housing where families can live in a safe, structured environment while actively working toward self-sufficiency.

This housing program will go beyond a place to stay. Families will commit to meaningful programming designed to create lasting change—covering areas like budgeting, life skills, parenting support, mental health, sobriety, and overall stability. The goal is not just to meet immediate needs, but to equip families with the tools and confidence to sustain a healthy, independent future.
While we are working toward establishing a physical housing location, the donations through Give Hastings will allow Joshua’s House to start taking action. We will start by offering this same kind of support through referral-based programming. Families can begin building these skills today, with guidance and accountability, even before housing becomes available.

Joshua’s House exists to walk alongside families—not just in crisis, but in the process of rebuilding, growing, and creating a stable future that lasts.

Did you know?

Family Foundation Services is now offering therapy services with experienced, compassionate providers.

➡ Cristianne EagleFeather Moreno is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP) and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC). She graduated from the University of Nebraska-Kearney in 2014 with a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Cristi specializes in working with adult and juvenile clients who are involved in the justice system, have a history of substance use, and/or are a part of the LGBTQIA+ community. Cristi enjoys working with clients to guide them through their mental health and/or substance use concerns utilizing a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach to therapy. Additionally, she enjoys teaching Anger Management, working with couples, and meets with Spanish-speaking clients. Cristi has been trained in EMDR and will be offering this service later in 2026.

➡ Shayla Trausch is a Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (PLMHP), Provisionally Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (PLADC), and a Certified Youth Mental Health Specialist (CYMHS). She holds a Master's of Science in Christian Counseling with an Emphasis on Substance Use and Addictive Disorders and a Master's of Science in Criminal Justice with an Emphasis on Law Enforcement. Shayla specializes in working with families and youth that have been impacted by trauma or involvement in the child welfare or justice system. She takes a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach so that individuals can heal in an environment that feels safe, respectful, and collaborative. She works with clients in individual, family, or couples therapy. Strengthening relationships and building resilience are key to becoming the best version of yourself possible. She strives to create a safe, judgment-free zone, where individuals can focus on themselves, one step at a time.
