One way to support Fidelco’s mission is to check out our Amazon Wishlist of treats our kennel and trainers use! Our dogs and pups sure would appreciate it- their tummies too!

The Lions Club of Harwinton has awarded the Hurlbut G. Clark scholarship 38 times over the years to a graduate of Lewis S. Mills High School. This year Gage Kosak was provided with $2,000 toward his continuing education. Gage (pictured with Chairperson David French and President Harry Schuh) was a member of the Varsity baseball and basketball teams, Model UN, National Honor Society, Student Council and represented Lewis S. Mills at Boys' State, held at the University of New Haven. Gage will attend the University of Connecticut to study finance and actuarial science.

The Leroy 'Bronc' Callahan scholarship has been awarded 29 times, and this year's $2,000 scholarship is awarded to Michaela LaRose, a Varsity softball player at Lewis S. Mills, member of Mills Club and the Social Justice Club. Michaela will attend Bay Path University in their Pre-Occupational Therapy studies program.

We wish them both good luck with their studies.

From The Harwinton Lions Club:
Reducing hunger is one of the causes that Lions Clubs support. Over the years, the Lions Club of Harwinton has provided food to families in town for the Winter Holiday. About 4 years ago, we changed how we provide this support and worked directly with the Harwinton Food Pantry to determine their needs. By doing this, our budgeted amount supplied the proteins for both Christmas and Memorial Day. We provided turkeys, ham, chicken, hot dogs and hamburgers.

This year our budgeted amount allowed us to give turkey, ham and chickens for Christmas, hot dogs and hamburgers for Memorial Day, and chicken drumsticks and breasts, and pork chops for grilling for the 4th of July holiday.

Additionally this year we provided paper goods for Brian's Angels Homeless Outreach in Bristol.
