Congrats to our 7/8th Grade Girls squad on making it to their League (OCL) Championship game! They came up 4 points short in the Final, to an undefeated Barnstable team, but had a Great season, finishing with an impressive 14-3 record, and in 2nd place overall. We will miss our 8th Grader girls, a couple of which have been playing together since their first Travel Tournament in Sandwich, 4+ years ago. We wish them all Best as they move on in their Basketball careers and beyond! 🦈🏀

5+ years ago most of our current 8th Grade Squad began playing together. They have played a lot of basketball over the past few years, including CCYBL league games, a season of MetroWest, Summer League, tournaments in Sandwich, Barnstable, Danvers, and Maine. Last weekend, they finished their last season of Travel Basketball at States in Stoughton/Foxboro. They won one game at the buzzer and lost a close one to the eventual champion, Wayland. It has been a Great experience and we wish them all the Best in their basketball futures and beyond ! 🦈🏀

Good luck to our 7/8 Girls Squad in the OCL Playoffs today. These girls finished the OCL season with an impressive 12-2 record. They won their opening round playoff game against Weymouth last night. Today they will be looking to avenge a 2 point, early season, loss against a tough Carver team (also 12-2). Game is at 4pm, at Furnance Brook Middle School (Marshfield). Let’s go Girls! 🦈🏀

Congrats to our 8th Grade Squad who won their division at the Sandwich “Marsh Madness” tournament this past weekend. They won 3 straight games to win the Championship, with wins over DY, Barnstable & Falmouth. They will be back in action this weekend in the Barnstable Tournament! Keep it rolling boys!! 🦈🏀🏆

Monomoy Travel basketball had a good showing at the Sandwich “Marsh Madness” tournament this past weekend. We had four teams (4th, 5th, 6th & 8th Boys) make their respective division Championship game. Congrats to our 6th Grade (pictured here) on winning their division. The 6th Grade Squad is now a very impressive 20-2 overall on the season! They will be back in action this weekend in the Barnstable Tournament! Keep it rolling boys!! 🦈🏀🏆

The travel basketball league we play in starts in 4th Grade but we have had a 3rd Grade squad practicing all season. They are playing in their one and only travel tournament this weekend, Battle at the Bogs, in Carver. They are 1-1 so far with a game today at 9am . Look out for this team next year! Let’s go boys! 🦈🏀

With the new Statewide State Tournament, I would love to see them bring back a South Sectional regular season tournament like they do in Central Mass (CMADA) and Western Mass (WMass). Those tournaments look Awesome and you earn some bragging rights for your region! Games could be at UMass Boston like they used to do.

The undefeated North boys' basketball team was tested by Leominster, but the Polar Bears held on to claim the Class A championship. Now North turns its focus to the D1 playoffs.
