𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝗟𝗼𝘂𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗮'𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗱?

Join our CCA Westbank Impact Team this Saturday as we assist Jefferson Parish for their annual Tree-cycling event! 🌲🎄🌲🎄

We will be placing recycled Christmas trees into wave-dampening cribs along Goose Bayou near Lafitte. These trees help reduce shoreline erosion and protect our vital coastal ecosystems—its conservation in action.

📍 Behind Cochiara's Mariana | 4477 Jean Lafitte Blvd., Lafitte, LA

Jefferson Parish Government will be providing all equipment (gloves, life jackets, safety vests), plus snacks, drinks, and lunch. Just bring comfortable clothes that can get wet and dirty, and be ready for a few hours of rewarding outdoor work.

⚠️ Volunteers must be 16+ (minors need an adult). This is physical, hands-on work—come prepared!

There's no better way to start the new year than by helping protect the coast we all love. See you on the water! 💪

📢 CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS 📢

Register to volunteer for this year’s Christmas TreeCycling event! The event will take place this Saturday (January 24) from 8:30 a.m. to noon at 4477 Jean Lafitte Blvd., in Lafitte. Volunteers will be tossing recycled Christmas trees into boats and then riding to place the trees into wave-dampening cribs.
