Camp Grizzly on the Palouse River Welcome to Camp Grizzly, "Pride of the Palouse"! We are one of the premier Summer Camps in the Inland Northwest Council.

Camp Grizzly is located 17 miles east of Potlatch Idaho next to Laird State Park. Camp Grizzly, originally known as Camp Lair, was donated by the Potlatch Forest, to the Inland Empire Council in 1938. The first parcel consisting of 40 acres was dedicated on Father's Day June 17, 1938. Camp Grizzly has evolved from a small unimproved camp to a unique summer camp known for it's shooting sports and T

radecraft programs. It has a beautiful lodge that serves as a dining hall, trading post, handicraft area, waterfront, nature/STEAM and scoutcraft areas and twelve great campsites, which support 200 campers each week. The shooting sports programs include quality instruction in rifle, archery, shotgun and muzzle loading as well as a walking archery and muzzle loading range being developed for the 2023 summer sessions of Scouts BSA.
