Last night our officers got together for an officer retreat. They had a great time going to Myrt’s, playing bags, and ending with a bonfire.

May is SAE Showcase month. So far we’ve had 20 SAE Showcases! Emma Roesner did baking, Cash Stott did Cash Candy Co., Alex Bannwolf did hunting, Brianna Lopez grew herbs, Hannah Jimenez did hair, Joey Berkholtz made a table for his mom, Gabe Peter’s extended his Chicken coop, Khloe Vest raised ducks, Khloe Adam’s processed a deer, Jack Ramberg grew a garden, Violet Jones raised meat rabbits, Brennan Peters did compost, Hayden Binz did nails, Ashley Diaz volunteered at a cat shelter, Erica Ramirez started a baking business, Brandon Estrada did landscaping, Jacob Kelnhofer built a 3-wheeler, Marilyn Carranza did candle making, Case Wolf raised show pigs, and Kristi Knop made sourdough.

Our FFA Plant Sale will be Thursday and Friday May 7th and 8th. We have annual flowers and vegetables. Plants are sold in 4" pots or 4 packs. We also have hanging baskets. Checks can be made payable to Harvard FFA. Please send your member to get your order or come visit us!

Today Harvard FFA had 18 members tour Midwest Ground Covers and then were treated to a catered lunch and coach bus. We want to extend a sincere thank you to McHenry County Farm Bureau for sponsoring FFA Aquaintance Day.

A huge thank you to our generous FFA Alumni organization who gave $7000 in scholarships this year. The Harry Alten Leadership Award was given to Payton Malinowski for $1500. The Rich Brook Service Award was given to Hayden Binz for $1500. Hevlihn Howarth was awarded $1500. Kristi Knop and Manhatyn Brincks received a $1000 scholarship each. Maynard Jones received $500. We are so thankful to have our FFA alumni group to honor these members.
