SPOT HAD BEEN SAFELY CAUGHT!!

🚨 LOOSE DOG – PLEASE READ 🚨

Spot got away from his owners in our clinic parking lot this afternoon.

❗ DO NOT CHASE HIM — he will run.
❗ DO NOT FEED HIM — we have a trap set and he needs to be hungry to go in.

If you are able to safely contain him in a fenced yard or garage, please text 706-988-0099 immediately.

Right now, our main goal is to keep him away from HWY 29 and on the Old 29 / Ridge Road side.

Please share and help us get Spot home safely. 🐾

Sweet little Tuck is the last puppy from his litter still in foster care — and he’s had to get a little creative to beat the boredom 🐾

So he made a new best friend 💛
Tuck and his feline foster sibling, Tuna Turnover, had a full-on toddler-style wrestling match and clearly decided they’re besties now.
(Adorable video in comments)

✨ Both of these babies are available for adoption!
We love when rescues join forces — Tuck is a GCAP pup, and his pal Tuna Turnover is available through our friends over at Hart County Humane Society.

Different rescues. Different species. Same goal: finding forever homes. 🏡

✨ Our Little Wonder Pets Are Almost Ready for Adoption! ✨

These pint-size cuties are officially “legal” at 8 weeks old and are very smol fries — currently weighing in at a whopping 3–4 pounds. 🥔🐾

They will have age-appropriate vaccinations & microchips at the time of adoption. Adopters will just need to:
• Finish their vaccine series 💉
• Keep them safe in a little puppy germ free bubble until all vaccines are completed 🫧
• Spay/Neuter when big enough ✂️(Local adopters will schedule with our vet partner)

If you’re ready for tiny paws, big personalities, and a whole lot of love, this is your sign. 💛

Get ready… these babies won’t stay little for long!

Everyone’s doing the ChatGPT Christmas photos…
Perfect lighting ✨
Impossibly smooth skin 😌
Outfits you definitely don’t own 💃
Holiday magic that never actually happened 🎄

So naturally… we let Abalone try it. 💁🏼‍♀️

And yes, we know she doesn’t really look like this 😉
But let’s be honest… she’s pulling it off better than most! 😏🐶

No prompt tweaking. No “make it more realistic” edits. Just one adoptable girl having fun with the trend and still waiting for her forever home.

If you’re going to hop on the AI holiday bandwagon, do it for a good cause—like finding Abalone a family of her own.

✨ Trendy. Festive. Adoptable. ✨
10/10 personality. 100% real dog.

To all our followers…..dogs come along that are harder to place. Everyone wants the cute, happy, easy dogs with no issues. A month or so back we took in 5 owner surrenders from a breeder who could no longer care for them. Three were week old puppies who had to be bottle fed. The other two were said to be 10 month old siblings. The 3 babies are thriving. The male puppy is bouncy, trouncy and happy as Tigger. The female not so much. She is precious, healthy but scared to death. To be 10 pounds she is as strong as a Rottweiler and you’ve got to be on your game to get her out of a kennel! She will sit quietly in your lap (just have a good grip in case…). She loves to play and wrestle with her brother. She will jump in and out of the crate now and not cower in the back. So, progress! As people who have dealt with dogs with these types of issues (and have adopted far too many of them ourselves just because we understand them and know over time…time as in maybe a year…they will come around) we want to at least put her out there. There maybe someone with a heart to give her this precious time she needs. Someone who will take the extra steps to keep her safe until she learns the ropes. You would absolutely have our support 24/7 for as long as you need us. We have dogs adopted out from our beginning in 2017 that we hear from all the time. We live for that! So if you want to learn more about Miss Abalone, we would love to share more with you. Text foster mom Carol at 706-436-4088. We can set up a time to talk and she would love to give you more details.

For followers of our page, the story of Duke, the beautiful Spaniel mix we rescued from Northeast Georgia Animal Shelter in late August, is likely familiar. Despite our limited capacity, both then and now, certain dogs have a way of capturing our hearts, making it impossible for us to leave them behind. Due to our lack of foster space, Duke spent a substantial portion of his three-month stay with us in boarding, generating minimal interest until recently. This development serves as a powerful reminder of our mission. In a remarkable turn of events, the stars aligned, and last Tuesday, Duke received a perfect application, which was swiftly approved. The applicant, who lives in Vermont, was 100% willing to drive the seventeen hours to collect her new companion. We were fortunate enough to know the wonderful people at C&T Williamson Transport, who we entrusted with Duke's safe travels to Vermont. The hand-off occurred last night at around 8:30, and the new owner reports that Duke is settling in beautifully, displaying happiness and sleeping soundly through the night. We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to everyone who played a role in this wonderful outcome. Your support is crucial in making these happy endings possible. Linny, Tuck & Ming Ming are growing! At just 4 weeks old, they’ve officially entered the super messy “learning to eat on their own” phase. As you can see by the orange juicer… tiny puppies learning new things means improvising with whatever you can find in your cabinet.

This is what rescue really looks like—messy, creative, and doing the very best with what you have.

With this new milestone comes big messes and fast changes. We went from tidy bottle feeds one day to “eew, I’m not drinking that” the next. These little sticky, icky kiddos could use some help!

We’ve attached an Amazon wish list below for anyone who’d like to support them. If you prefer to drop off supplies instead, we would be so grateful! They’re in need of puppy pads, puppy milk, blankets, a little bit of small-breed puppy food, and—because they are absolutely adorable but also absolutely gross—cleaning supplies are appreciated too!
