Happy Valentines from all of us at Hartwell PRIDE!

This Valentine’s Day, let’s celebrate love in all its vibrant, authentic, and unapologetic forms. Whether you’re spending the day with a partner, friends, family, or just yourself, remember that your love is valid, powerful, and worthy of celebration.

Love is a beautiful force of nature. It transcends gender, labels, and the status quo. love is about connection, acceptance, affirmation, and the courage to be your true, authentic self. Today, we honor the love stories that have paved the way for progress, the love that exists in our community, and the love we will continue to fight for every day.

To those who are still searching for love or healing from heartbreak and abuse: you are enough, just as you are. Your journey is beautiful, and your love will find its way.

Let’s also take a moment to celebrate self-love. Loving who you are is the foundation for everything else. So today, treat yourself with kindness, embrace your uniqueness, and remember how incredible you are.

However you’re celebrating today, know that you are loved, you are seen, and you belong. Happy Valentine’s Day to all the dreamers, fighters, and lovers in our LGBTQ+ family. 💖🌈

February is Black History Month! And today, February 7th, is National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day ( ). First observed in 1999, this observance is a day to acknowledge how HIV disproportionately affects Black people.

Black communities have made great progress in reducing HIV. Yet racism, discrimination, and mistrust in the healthcare system may affect whether Black people seek or receive HIV prevention services. These issues may also reduce the likelihood of engaging in HIV treatment and care. NBHAAD is an opportunity to increase HIV education, testing, community involvement, and treatment among Black communities.

You can find resources and information on HIV/AIDS at hiv.gov

Despite what anyone with a fragile ego says, Trans people exist. Being trans is a part of the human experience. Trans and nonbinary people exist in many different cultures around the world. Being transgender occurs in nature. Being trans is natural. Being trans is okay. Being trans doesn't make anyone a bad person. No amount of erasure or suppression will change the fact that TRANS PEOPLE EXIST!

We're here, we're strong, and we're not going anywhere.
