We absolutely love the Akron Zoo!
🦁🐯🦍🦜🦩🐍🦎

Last month, we had the incredible opportunity to bring all of our residents — by special invitation and free of charge — to the zoo to be one of the first groups to use brand-new sensory stations.

We had such a great visit, and we are so thankful for the Akron Zoo + their commitment to making the zoo a place to be enjoyed by all! 🧡

The Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad train, that is!

A few of our guys had a wonderful time riding the train and taking in the beautiful views of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Thank you, CVSR, for such a fun afternoon!

🎄WINNER: BEST OVERALL — Lois Home!
Lois knocked it out of the park. No detail was overlooked! It was creative, festive, and incredibly well done!

🎄 SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS AWARD: Menlo Home!
Team Menlo fully captured the spirit of Christmas, both inside and outside! We loved the inflatable shark. 🦈

🎄 RESIDENT ENGAGEMENT AWARD: Hartville Meadows!
The HM Team went all out getting residents involved in decorating the activity room and then throwing a Christmas party with carols, games + holiday activities.

🎄 OUTSTANDING TEAMWORK AWARD: HCOB!
The HCOB team showed wonderful collaboration with residents. We loved the palm tree made with resident handprints!

🎄 MOST UNIQUE: GentleBrook Greenhouse and Farm!
The greenhouse team transformed a houseplant into one of the most unique trees we have seen, complete with real flowers + veggies as ornaments!

Kudos to Team Lois! You will be getting a pizza party to celebrate. 👏🍕

The other teams will have ice cream parties! 🍦
