Christa Kozy serves on the Lake Community Hope Board of Directors as our Secretary. In last year's 5K Competitive Walk, she earned First Place Overall in the Female category. Way to go, Christa!

Christa says she participates in the event because "Melissa always brought us together to be in community with one another. Whether it was a board game night, bonfire, or community cause, she had a beautiful way of connecting all kinds of people from all walks of life. I do it to honor her memory and legacy, and everything she taught us about showing up for people in every situation."

Welcome to the dog days of summer! 🐶

We’ve been busy installing yard signs in the area to promote the 2026 Lake Community Hope 5K & Fun Run taking place on Sunday, August 23 outside the Lake Community YMCA!

If you or a four-legged friend spot a yard sign, stop and snap a selfie to share, then tag us on Facebook!

We are looking for more sponsors, runners/walkers and volunteers to make our event a success.
