Hartville Migrant Ministry

Hartville Migrant Ministry We are here to serve the needs of the migrants through our Christian Ministry. The state of Ohio has incorporated the Ministry as a 501(c)(3) organization.

Although the migrant mission operated for more than a decade before incorporation, the Hartville Migrant Council began formally assisting seasonal pickers when the Migrant Health Act was enacted in 1962. A pioneer in migrant ministries, the Hartville Migrant Ministry is one of the few remaining ecumenical programs in the United States. The Council is overseen by a Board of Trustees led by its offi

cers who are responsible for development, administration, and supervision of all programs. Members come from a diverse range on occupations, religious affiliations and geographic locations. The volunteer their skills and experience, united in a concern for the well-being of migrant workers and their families.
