Hi everyone! We wanted to pop on and let you know that this will be the last post on the Foster Our Community pages!

Don’t worry, our mission isn’t stopping. In fact, it’s just getting bigger and better! Earlier this year, Foster Our Community officially merged with Hope Bridge, and now our social accounts are joining together too. All the updates, family events, resources, and stories you’ve loved will now be on Hope Bridge’s Instagram and Facebook.

When this began in 2019, it wasn’t intended to turn into anything big. It started with a single invitation, a few foster and adoptive moms gathering around a kitchen table because we all needed community. We needed people who understood the chaos, the beauty, the heartbreak, and the hope that comes with navigating this space.

Month after month, we gathered late into the night, laughing, crying, sharing updates, and swapping resources. And somewhere along the way, we realized that the need for connection stretched far beyond that little table.

What began as a handful of moms grew into a church ministry… then into a small nonprofit, Foster Our Community, and now into a program that continues to expand through Hope Bridge. It became what it is today because families showed up and invited us into their stories.

This community has changed us. Sitting across the table from a foster mom wondering if she could keep going… celebrating adoption days in court… watching families find support, encouragement, and hope. Every single moment has mattered.

Today, we want to share an important update:
Foster Our Community Social Accounts are officially merging with Hope Bridge.

All future updates, resources, events, and stories will now live on the Hope Bridge platforms as our work continues to grow.

Adoption has changed our lives immeasurably.

When we began our foster care journey, adoption wasn’t necessarily the goal. We simply wanted to make a difference. But when we realized the children would not be reunified, we jumped at the chance to make them a permanent part of our family.

Our biological children had new best friends in our foster children, and we loved watching those relationships grow. At the same time, our relationship with the kids’ biological mom was also growing stronger. She has become an essential member of our family as well.

We feel so blessed to be able to stay connected with our adopted children’s biological families. Through this journey, we’ve learned empathy, compassion, and understanding in entirely new ways.

We are beyond grateful that God laid it on our hearts to get “uncomfortable” and take that life-changing leap of faith. Today, we can’t imagine our family without our four beautiful adopted children. The void we once felt has been filled, and for the first time, our family feels complete.
