Kalmia Gardens

Kalmia Gardens Kalmia Gardens of Coker College, situated on 35 acres, is a non-profit public garden open year-round from dawn to dusk.

Located in the P*e Dee region of South Carolina on a former 19th century plantation, Kalmia Gardens is a 38-acre public garden and historic house open to the public. Named after Mountain-laurel Kalmia latifolia, the garden has seven of eleven plant communities found in South Carolina and is home to various threatened and unique species. We are the gateway to the Segars-McKinnon Heritage Preserve; both properties together are almost as large as Central Park in New York City.
