Today, we were honored to partner with Coach Gerrin Harris, Sarah Ketter and Darlington County Sheriff Office to provide Fun Friday Cheer and Dance camp for the youth of Darlington County. The youth were able to dance, cheer, hear about the importance of skin care, laugh, eat, play and hear from our Sheriff. I would like to think that it was so much instilled into their lives, all while having fun. Thank you to the amazing parents that allowed their kids to come out. Thank you to my friends at Burriss & Ridgeway for providing lunch. My sisters Lisa Cranford Bess and Joni Cranford Pendergrass, thank you for assisting in whatever manner asked. And to my HHS cheerleaders both veteran and current, I absolutely love you ladies too life. You've never failed me and I'm forever grateful.

Today we had the honor of taking a family shopping for Christmas. These are some of the most humbled kids. They are siblings and at an early age they've created their own identity. They each shopped for themselves, yes even the baby boy. They knew what they wanted and why they wanted it. One of them was really cost conscious. She understood the bargin shopping concept. The oldest male child was concerned with his grandfather not having anything for Christmas since his grandmother had just passed. He wanted to give up something so he could buy his grandfather a gift. How thoughtful!

I could go on and on about our time together but instead I'll just say that I'm grateful!

Today Resource One presented a $1000.00 Scholarship to Ken Hill. Ken is a perfect example of Just Use Strength To Operate. At an early age Ken and his siblings loss their parents in a car accident. Ken, the youngest boy graduated from High School with the Class of 2022. He’s excited about his future and we are grateful! Our only advise to Ken and all other graduates is Keep using your strength to operate, you’ve got this! Congratulations Ken Hill!

Congratulations to each of the $1000 JUSTO Scholarships recipients from Hartsville High School! It was indeed an honor to be in attendance last evening at such a momentous occasion, celebrating the scholastic esteem of all of the students that were present.

We presented scholarships to three hardworking, and deserving graduating seniors. This scholarship, JUSTO (Just Use Strength To Operate), named after my late son Justin Glenn, is providing youth with the resources that they need for post-secondary education. It is my prayer that we will continue to provide scholarships in years to come, as we aim to successfully produce more sustainable outcomes for our youth.
