Weather is preventing the YAB, from working with the city to break ground at the location of the blessing box. So due to the oncoming weather this weekend, it will be put off until it warms back up. I'll keep you posted!😁

I’ve been waiting to tell you all this! We are in the final stages of planning a date and time to put the Blessing box up in Hartshorne, Oklahoma!

The Youth Advisory Board through the Choctaws have graciously lended their time to build it and stock it for the community.

The Mayor and Council have agreed on a location and to have one in place.

This is great news to help combat food insecurity in the community.

The maintenance crew and the YAB students will pick a day that works and go from there!

Update on Blessing Box idea that I had for the community.

Choctaw YAB has took on the project for Hartshorne. I’m in talks with them on it. They have the material to build one and are just trying to find a day to get their youth together to build it.
From there I will continue to talk with the Mayor of Hartshorne, and see about location. We have talked of one possible location so far. When we launch the project in full force I will inform citizens, so they may donate any goods to it, etc or any citizens needing anything from it.

-A blessing box is a community driven charity where you can donate "Non-parishables" to support the community in such a way that we can help one another in a neighborly way.

Where is it going to be located?🤔

-Ah, the big question. Actively seeking out a location as we speak. Will post updates on location at a later time.
