Our 2025 PFK Crushin’ Cancer Softball Tournament has come to a close. Even though Childhood Cancer Awareness Month is coming to an end soon,
many of us will continue fundraise, remember, honor those that we have lost, and
those that continue fighting cancer.
Yesterday we were able to raise funds for PFK and all of the programs that will continue into this year and the next.
We started out Saturday morning at
about 5am heading to Decatur and Athens
To host the 10U, 12U and 14U teams.
We had a great day at both parks,
remembering our Kayleigh
and telling her story to mainly those
that asked about her. We talked to other parents that shared their own
stories about losing children to cancer
and some that had beaten cancer. We also
had the opportunity to see some of
our St. Jude Nurses who hold a special
place in our hearts for what they did
for our Kayleigh, and repeatedly do for
countless children. It is their work
and dedication that makes St. Jude’s
affiliate centers and main facility in
Memphis feel loving and caring. We
appreciate all of your love and support, and
we look forward to seeing all of you again at next year’s tournament.
