Trail Life USA - Troop 0412 - Hartselle Al

Our troop went to spend the night on the USS Alabama. The next morning we had a church service where we were reminded that like the Axis & Allies of yesteryear, that we are also at war spiritually. Our troop chaplain reminded us to stay vigilante & to use the whole armor of God. To pray. To read your Bible. To attend church. He reminded us that even the devil knows the outcome of this war. Be witnesses to God that you may bring others to the side of victory for His honor & glory forever! As always, our Mission is to guide generations of courageous young men to honor God, lead with integrity, serve others, and experience outdoor adventure. Walk worthy!

Our 2025-2026 kick-off hike-in to Panther’s Den in Southern Illinois to prepare new Navigators for hike-ins. We saw the Adventurers step up to run the campfire program, and leaders helped each other when sickness took out a leader. In this episode we’re sharing our planning, stories, and takeaways.

"Boys tend to overestimate their abilities. An innate confidence leads them to assume they will succeed. But if they aren’t permitted to test that assumption, they don’t experience the thrill of victory or develop the character that is learned from dealing with failure."

We had our Court of Honor. Afterwards the Navigators / Adventurers had an officer's conference where they elected new leadership. Then we had cake! Looking forward to an outstanding year with these Trailmen. Walk Worthy!

We’ve determined that campouts without bacon are just down right unAmerican 😂

Some of our Trailmen would even decline the RSVP if they found out we weren’t having bacon 😂
