We currently have backup power running at the station and want to let everyone know that anyone is welcome to come by and cool off.

The station is air-conditioned, and shower is also available, bring your own towels and soap.

Please feel free to stop by, cool down, charge your devices, take a shower, or simply hang out somewhere comfortable. Everyone is welcome!

Effective at 10:30am today, August 10, 2026 Johnson County Judge Herman Houston has issued a Burn Ban for Johnson County

The City of Coal Hill has a service technician on site today inspecting the tornado sirens after reports that they did not sound during the last storm.

At this time, the sirens appear to be operating properly and are sounding as expected.

If you are in the Coal Hill area, you may hear the sirens while testing is being completed today. Thank you for your patience.

Effective 10:30 AM on March 5, the burn ban for Johnson County has been lifted.

In the event of a power outage during the upcoming winter storm, the fire station will be operating on backup generator power. The station will be open and available to anyone in the community who needs a warm and safe place to stay.
