Hartland Archery back on the podium TWICE at the NASP National Championship bringing home $36,000!!!
We wanted to take a moment to share the incredible success that Hartland Archery had this past weekend at the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) National Tournament in Louisville, Kentucky! Our archers competed against 8,301 archers in the 3D Event and 14,303 archers in the Bullseye Event from across the country! Once again, they represented Hartland with hard work, determination, and pride.
Our Elementary Team had an amazing weekend, placing 47th out of 97 teams in the NASP 3D Tournament with a score of 1420 and 49th out of 182 teams in the NASP Bullseye Tournament with a score of 2935.
A very special shoutout goes to 5th grader Austin Jacobs for an outstanding performance! Austin earned 5th in the Nation as an elementary female in the 3D tournament with a score of 277, and then followed that up by becoming the 1st place elementary female in the Nation for the Bullseye tournament with a score of 289! Incredible job, Austin! Additional shoutouts go to Tyler Wojciechowski as our Elementary Team’s top male archer in 3D and Emmett Kramer as our top male archer in Bullseye.
Our Middle School Team also had an incredible tournament weekend, placing 18th out of 207 teams in the NASP 3D Tournament with a score of 1637 and 8th out of 249 teams in the NASP Bullseye Tournament with a score of 3306.
A special congratulations goes to 8th grader Delaney Staron for being our Middle School Team’s top female archer in both events, earning a score of 280 in 3D and 290 in Bullseye! Additional shoutouts go to Brady Komaromi as our Middle School Team’s top male archer in 3D and Dominic Suchland as our top male archer in Bullseye.
Our High School Varsity Team continued to make history this season by becoming the first school in NASP history to make the podium for a second time in BOTH 3D and Bullseye at the National Tournament! The Varsity Team brought home 2nd place National Team trophies in both events, earning a score of 1737 in 3D and 3449 in Bullseye. In addition, the team will be receiving $36,000 in scholarship money — $1,500 per archer!
The success did not stop there. 11th grader Ryan Schultz also competed in the Centershot 3D National Tournament and tied for 1st place in the High School Male Division with an incredible score of 299 out of 300!
Our Centershot National Bullseye Team only had 9 of 24 archers competing together as a team, but that did not stop them from bringing home another 2nd place National Team trophy with a score of 1710 out of 1800.
Some well-deserved individual shoutouts go to 10th grader Addy Mach, who earned 2nd place for High School females in the 3D event with a score of 294! Ryan Schultz was our Varsity Team’s top male archer in 3D. In Bullseye, Peyton Knowlton was our top female archer, and Jayden Boshaw was our top male archer.
Our High School JV Team also had a strong showing at Nationals, placing 122nd out of 223 teams in the NASP 3D Tournament with a score of 1610 and 180th out of 262 teams in the NASP Bullseye Tournament with a score of 3190.
Additional JV shoutouts go to MJ Jacobs as our JV Team’s top female archer in 3D and Keely Walaskay as our top female archer in Bullseye. Joel Dubs was our JV Team’s top male archer in 3D, and Levi Shaw was our top male archer in Bullseye.
We could not be prouder of all of our archers, coaches, and families for the hard work they have put in throughout the season. Many of our athletes shot personal bests this weekend, competed under pressure, and represented Hartland with incredible sportsmanship and determination.
These archers should all be VERY proud of themselves and everything they accomplished this weekend.
Great job, Hartland Archery!!
