Hello Everyone!
My name is Misty I started this page and just wanted to introduce myself.
I use my cars for therapy. Mental heath because it calms me and physically because I have unexplained mini strokes believed caused by stress and auto imune disorders for which inmay be close to a diagnosis for! Its been a long road since my double PE and major stroke in 2022. I am constantly working on my hand eye coordination after my vision comes back!
(Had another pretty significant one yesterday and hoping to be able to get out in a couple days with my cars to make the transition faster if anyone wanted to go out with us this weekend )
I also just love driving my cars and getting to do it with people who love it too! I'm not a serious racer or anything like that.id probably be found spectating the track racing. I have fun and am competitive amongst friends. I love bashing around and jumping as well as drag racing and track racing againt my own lap time! (Or even making the hairpin turns). I'm not good at it yet! š¤£ I'm also not fixated on the brand, I just like it if it's fun to drive and isn't ripping me off.
I started this group because I wanted to get a local community going or find people in hartford that also want to go out and drive with others.. Maybe share tricks or tips that you found useful. Ask questions when your not sure without being judged. Maybe help other beginners like me meet some more seasoned operators and learn together! If there are any announcements or local events, anyone can share in the group. If I see them I will post them here so they don't get lost in the conversations and excitement of all the car photos/videos I'm hoping to see!
My fiance Dustin Dbone Horvath and I started a group page where you guys can post your cars, questions, tips, tricks. Pretty much anything R/C related. We have only have cars and truck but aren't discriminating against planes or boats. I've been looking at them too! š I don't want to have to babysit the group so I didn't put any restrictions on it.
Please be respectful and remember everyone can have their own opinion and it doesn't have to match yours. I will remove anyone causing any issues but I really don't want to do that. If you want your friend not from hartford to join, that's okay, I'm just living in hartford now.
