March 31st is Brian Baker Day in Connecticut. In 2010, then-Gov. M. Jodi Rell proclaimed March 31 Brian Baker Day to recognize his advocacy.

Brian died in 2018, leaving a notable legacy. For those who have not heard of Brian, he was the Assistant Director at South Park Inn for many years. He joined the South Park Inn nearly at the beginning of its existence. Brian was particularly dedicated to veterans who are homeless. He started advocating for them when eliminating homelessness among veterans was barely a blip on officialdom’s radar, though everyone acknowledged the problem.

Brian was also a big supporter of Dungeons of Hope. We are committed to continue Brian’s fight to end homelessness. Thank you Brian for inspiring us all!

The Dungeons are Calling!

This will be our biggest and most epic HeroQuest charitable gaming event yet! If you live in or near Connecticut or will be in the area on November 11, join our band of heroes on Veterans Day to help veterans and other men and women find a home and transition back to permanency.

We are recruiting 12 teams of 5 heroes (only 60 heroes total) to embark on two challenging and character-building quests designed by our team. The event fee is $50 and includes a buffet dinner. This year, the event will be held at City Steam Brewery.

Since 2017, Dungeons of Hope, a charitable organization, has raised over $24,000 to fight homelessness through our legendary dungeon crawl events.

All proceeds benefit the South Park Inn homeless shelter.

Come for the fine food and ale...stay for the glory
