Timothy F. Kelliher Jr. passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 3, 2026.
Tim joined the Hartford Fire Department where he served for 26 years as a third-generation firefighter and retired at the rank of Captain. While on the HFD he held many distinguished honors including Firefighter of The Year in 1983. He was a member of the HFD’s Emerald Society, Firemen’s Protective Association, and President of the Benevolent Society.
Tim’s greatest, most proud role ever played was that of “Papa” to his grandchildren - Papa taught them his mantra; Faith, Family and Service to Community.
The Hartford Fire Department and Emerald Society thank you for your commitment to serving your family and community.
