The school year is coming to a close... and that means our YW Leadership Corps year-round program is, too.

What better way to celebrate than with a fun day outdoors at High Meadows?!

Our young leaders are compassionate, bright and inquisitive. They seek out and take on leadership roles, support one another and work towards their goals.

Over this year, we've witnessed their remarkable commitment to growth, education and kindness. Some are graduating seniors, about to embark on a big new adventure, others are young students, still navigating middle and high school.

, and we couldn't be prouder of our young leaders and the directions they're headed.

This legislative session, state lawmakers delivered meaningful investments in education, affordability, early childhood and more. These measures will help working families, students and communities across Connecticut.

A huge thank you to UConn Health Disparities Institute and State Representative Kai Belton for their partnership this legislative session in advancing menopause equity. You recognize, as we do, that it’s always the right time to address health care disparities.

While this year’s legislative session has come to an end, we remain committed to ensuring your voice is heard. Let’s move forward together.

Martina is one of many who found safety, stability and solace at Soromundi Tower...

But before she found a home under our roof, she was living on the streets. And she wasn't alone.

The number of people experiencing homelessness has grown by 44% in the last five years. FOURTY-FOUR percent.

Please don't believe the myths that circulate around homelessness: that it is somehow the failing of the individual, rather than the falling of society and our systems. Approximately 58% of people experiencing homelessness are in this circumstance for the first time.

The high cost of housing in Connecticut is a large driver. And the trends are alarming. But and we won't be discouraged. We know our community is dedicating to uplifting individuals and families in the Hartford Region.

Here's a positive statistic: 78% of those who come through our doors go on to find a permanent home of their own.

Your investment in our programs can help bring someone like Martina off the streets and under our roof, so they can enjoy simple pleasures we so often take for granted: a warm cup of coffee, a cozy bed, access to facilities like laundry and computers.

We hope you will consider a donation of any size today: https://monkeylink.co/3efcc6

June is tomorrow, bringing with it beautiful, warm weather, the FIFA World Cup and the desire to gather with community.

What if we told you there's a way (for our 21+ supporters) to celebrate WITH community, while doing something FOR the community?

Every month, Elicit Brewing Manchester generously helps raise funds for a local organization or nonprofit. For June 2026, they will donate $1 to YWCA Hartford Region for every 16oz pour of one of their special drafts.

If you love Brewery season, watching the World Cup or getting together with community, we hope you'll consider Elicit Brewing Manchester so you can have some fun AND do some good :)
