It doesn’t have to feel extremely hot outside for a car to become deadly inside. Temperatures can soar in minutes, and heatstroke can happen fast. Don’t let kids play in cars, and keep doors locked so curious explorers don’t become trapped.

🔋 Small Battery. Big Danger.
Button batteries power everyday items like remotes, toys, key fobs, hearing aids, and greeting cards — but if swallowed, they can cause severe internal burns in as little as 2 hours.
⚠️ Protect children by following these safety tips:
• Keep button batteries out of reach and sight
• Secure battery compartments with screws or tape
• Store new and used batteries safely
• Dispose of batteries immediately and properly

Symptoms can look like common illnesses: coughing, drooling, vomiting, chest pain, or trouble swallowing. Don’t wait for symptoms to appear. Seek emergency medical care right away if a battery may have been swallowed.

No errand is worth a life. Check the back seat every time.

Every one of these tragedies was preventable.
As temperatures rise, remember: never leave a child unattended in a vehicle, not even for a minute. Always look before you lock, keep vehicles locked when parked, and place a reminder item like your phone or bag in the back seat.
A simple check can save a life. 💙
