☦️ Patriarch of Jerusalem visit Gaza

His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem and His Beatitude Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa visited Gaza, bringing prayers, compassion, and solidarity to those enduring immense suffering.

Accompanied by humanitarian representatives, including members of the Order of Malta, the visit reflects the enduring commitment of the Churches of Jerusalem to stand alongside the people of Gaza during this time of hardship and uncertainty.

Through prayer, pastoral presence, and personal encounters with clergy and families, the Patriarchs sought to offer spiritual strength, comfort, and hope to those affected by conflict and loss.

In the midst of suffering, the Church remains a witness to Christ’s love, mercy, and peace. The prayers of Jerusalem continue to accompany all who are wounded, displaced, grieving, and in need.

🙏 Let us pray for peace in the Holy Land.
🙏 Let us pray for the people of Gaza.
🙏 Let us pray for all those working to bring healing, dignity, and hope.

"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God." — Matthew 5:9

Please consider making a $1, $5, or $10 donation to help us in this mission!

☦️ The Seizure of Patriarchal Land in Jerusalem: An Attack on Christian Heritage and Presence

The Holy Orthodox Order of Saint George the Great Martyr expresses its profound alarm and condemnation regarding the forcible seizure of property belonging to the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem in Silwan on June 15, 2026.

According to the Patriarchate, Church representatives were forcibly removed from legally owned Patriarchal land, equipment was confiscated, ancient trees were uprooted, and the property was enclosed behind fences and gates, effectively denying the Church access to its own land. This is not merely a property dispute. It is a direct challenge to the rights of one of the oldest Christian institutions in the world and to the historic Christian presence in Jerusalem itself.

The land in question is officially registered in the name of the Patriarchate, situated adjacent to an ancient monastery, and contains significant religious, historical, and archaeological features. Any attempt to seize, restrict, or alter Church property without lawful justification threatens not only the rights of the Church but also the sacred heritage entrusted to its care for generations.

This incident cannot be viewed in isolation. It forms part of a deeply troubling pattern of increasing hostility directed against Christians in the Holy Land. The Orthodox Patriarchate has reported more than one hundred attacks against Christian clergy, churches, monasteries, worshippers, and religious symbols in recent years. Such actions undermine religious freedom, erode trust, and place additional pressure on an already vulnerable indigenous Christian community struggling to remain in the land where Christianity was born.

The Order is particularly troubled that these developments occur amid continued international silence. When Christian holy sites are threatened, Church property is seized, clergy are harassed, or Christian communities face intimidation, the response from much of the international community is too often muted or absent altogether.

We stand in full solidarity with the Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem and with all the historic Churches of the Holy Land. We call upon civil authorities to immediately respect the legal rights of the Patriarchate, restore full access to its property, and ensure the protection of Christian holy places and institutions throughout Jerusalem.

The preservation of Christian Jerusalem is not merely a concern for local believers. It is a responsibility shared by Christians throughout the world and by all who value religious freedom, justice, and the protection of humanity’s sacred heritage.

As our Lord teaches: “Blessed are the peacemakers.” True peace begins with respect for law, property, holy places, and the dignity of Jerusalem’s authentic Christian presence.

🙏 We ask all faithful Christians to pray for the Patriarchate of Jerusalem, for the protection of the Holy Places, and for the continued witness of the Christian communities who remain steadfast in the land of Christ’s birth, ministry, death, and Resurrection.

🎙️ NEW EPISODE: Christian Voices from the Middle East

The Holy Orthodox Order of Saint George the Great Martyr is honored to present a new episode of Christian Voices from the Middle East featuring Fr. Constantine Nasr, a faithful son of the historic Christian village of Taybeh in the West Bank and now a priest serving in Oklahoma City.

Drawing upon both his personal experiences and pastoral ministry, he offers a unique perspective on the challenges, hopes, and future of Christian communities throughout the Middle East.

Fr. Constantine speaks about faith, perseverance, the importance of preserving Christian witness in the land where Christianity was born, and the responsibility of Christians in the diaspora to remain connected to and supportive of their brothers and sisters in the Holy Land.

His story is one of deep faith, service, and commitment to the Church—a powerful reminder that the living Christian communities of the Holy Land continue to shape and enrich the wider Christian world.

☦️ The Call to Prayer from Mar Saba

In the silence of the Judean Desert, the sound of the semantron echoes across the ancient cliffs of Mar Saba Monastery.

For more than fifteen centuries, Orthodox Christian monks have answered this sacred call, gathering to praise God and pray for the salvation of the world.

Founded by Saint Sabbas the Sanctified in the fifth century, Mar Saba remains one of the oldest continuously inhabited monasteries on earth—a living witness to the endurance of the Orthodox Christian faith in the Holy Land.

Far removed from the noise and distractions of the modern world, its monks continue a tradition of prayer, repentance, asceticism, and worship that has never ceased.

🙏 May their prayers strengthen the Church, bring peace to the Holy Land, protect its Christian communities, and inspire each of us to draw ever closer to Christ.

Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to the Order of Saint George the Great Martyr so that we may continue our mission of supporting and preserving the Christian presence, heritage, and witness throughout the Holy Land and the wider Middle East. Your generosity helps sustain communities that have faithfully kept the light of Christianity burning in these sacred lands for nearly two thousand years.

🔥 ✝️ Pray for Taybeh, the Holy Land’s Historic Christian Town

Taybeh, located east of Ramallah in the West Bank, is known as the last entirely Christian Palestinian town in the Holy Land. Recent fires have devastated agricultural lands surrounding the community, raising fresh concerns about the future of one of Christianity’s oldest living communities.

For generations, the faithful of Taybeh have preserved their Christian heritage in the very land where the Gospel first took root. Today, many Christian families throughout the Holy Land face growing challenges, uncertainty, and pressure to leave the lands of their ancestors.

As Orthodox Christians, we are called not only to remember the Holy Land as a sacred place, but also to stand with the living Christian communities who continue to worship, serve, and bear witness to Christ there every day.

Let us pray for the people of Taybeh, for peace in the Holy Land, and for the preservation of Christianity in the land of our Lord’s earthly life.

Through your support of the Order of Saint George, you help sustain Christian families, preserve sacred heritage, and strengthen the Church’s mission throughout the Holy Land and the Middle East.

🙏 Pray for peace. ✝️ Stand with the Christians of the Holy Land. ❤️ Support the mission.

Patriarch of Jerusalem urges Protection for Middle East Christians ✝️

Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem met with US President Donald Trump at the White House to discuss the growing challenges facing Christian communities across the Middle East and the Holy Land.

During the meeting on the 4th of June, the Patriarch emphasized the urgent need to protect Christians in Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Lebanon, Syria, and throughout the region, where many communities continue to face instability, insecurity, and pressure to leave their ancestral homelands.

“Safeguarding religious freedom and maintaining open access to the Holy Land is more than a spiritual matter; it is a prerequisite for stability, coexistence, and peace.”

The Patriarch also stressed that preserving the Christian presence in the lands where Christianity was born remains essential not only for the Church, but for the future of the entire region.

As one of the world’s oldest Christian institutions, the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem continues its historic mission of protecting the Holy Sites and serving the faithful throughout the Holy Land.

Pray for the Christians of the Middle East.
Pray for peace in the Holy Land. ☦️

Sunday of All Saints ✨☦️

Today the Holy Orthodox Church celebrates the Sunday of All Saints, honoring every saint—known and unknown—who has shone forth through faith, holiness, sacrifice, and love for Christ.

From the Apostles and Martyrs to the Holy Fathers, monastics, confessors, righteous men and women, the Church gathers them together today as one great cloud of witnesses surrounding the faithful throughout every generation.

This feast reveals the true fruit of Pentecost and the coming of the Holy Spirit into the world.

The saints were not perfect by human strength.
They became holy through repentance, perseverance, humility, suffering, prayer, and the grace of God.

Some shed their blood for Christ.
Others served quietly through hidden holiness.
Some were kings, some were monks, some were mothers, shepherds, teachers, physicians, and laborers.

Yet all shared one thing in common:
they chose Christ above all else.

The Sunday of All Saints reminds us that holiness is not only for a few—it is the calling of every Christian.

The saints are not distant figures of the past.
They are living members of the Church who continue to pray for the world and guide the faithful toward the Kingdom of God.

Today, we honor all the friends of God and ask their intercessions for the Church, for the suffering Christians of the Holy Land and Middle East, and for all who seek salvation.

☦️ “Seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses… let us run with patience the race that is set before us.” — Hebrews 12:1

All Saints, pray to God for us.

Saint Metrophanes, Archbishop of Constantinople ☦️

Today the Holy Orthodox Church commemorates Our Father Metrophanes, Archbishop of Constantinople, one of the early defenders of the Orthodox Faith during a pivotal moment in Church history.

Born to pagan parents, Saint Metrophanes embraced Christ at a young age and later became Bishop of Byzantium during the reign of Saint Constantine the Great, when the city would become known as Constantinople — the New Rome.

Though advanced in age and unable to attend the First Ecumenical Council of Nicaea in 325, he faithfully sent his representative, the priest Alexander, to stand with the Holy Fathers in defense of the true Faith against heresy.

Saint Metrophanes remained a faithful shepherd of Christ’s flock, preserving the purity of Orthodox doctrine and strengthening the Church during a time of great transformation.

“Glory to Him that confirmed the pure Orthodox Faith through thee.”

May his prayers strengthen all who seek to remain steadfast in truth, faith, and holiness.

☦️ Holy Father Metrophanes, pray for us.
