Today is April 1st… which means we are just ONE month away from celebrating Older Americans Month! 🎉💙

Every May, we honor the incredible seniors in our communities and the lasting impact they continue to make every single day. From sharing wisdom to staying active and engaged, their contributions shape our region in meaningful ways.
Throughout the month, senior centers across our region, and nationwide, will host health fairs and community events designed to both educate and celebrate our older adults.

The Senior Center was in full activity swing Thursday February 19th. People were playing pool, working puzzles and enjoying Bunco. If you are 60 and over and need a place to socialize and enjoy different activities then we are the place to come. Open Monday,Wednesday,Thursday and Friday. Hours are activities start at 9 and end after lunch. Lunch is served at 11:30 for a donation of $1.50.

Ohio County Senior Center will be open tomorrow, Wednesday, February 4, 2026.
Hartford Site - Open
Fordsville Site - Open
Horse Branch - Closed
We will be serving lunch and having activities. Our parking lot is still slick, please take extra precautions when traveling or entering the center.
Homebound meals will be delivered as our meal drivers do their best navigating through their routes with what is left of our winter weather.

Ohio County Senior Services will be closed Monday and Tuesday no congregate or homebound meals will be served. All homebound clients are reminded to utilize one of your emergency meals that were delivered to you earlier. We will be contacting clients by phone tomorrow.

Hey music lovers come on out tonight for a jam senior at the Hartford Senior Center. If you play bring your instruments and if you are singers bring your voice. Fans bring your ears and come enjoy the night. Thursday 22 at 6 o'clock. Concessions will be available.
