Activities at the Senior Center on Monday was Bunco with 20 people playing and winning prizes. On Tuesday 15 seniors traveled to Owensboro and ate at Dee’s Diner. The food was delicious. Did some shopping before heading back to the center. A great two days in July!

Ohio County Senior Services hosted our first ever Senior Games today in Ohio County Park with the help of several Departments and Agencies.

Thank you Beaver Dam Tourism for sponsoring this event for our regions seniors, Food from The Traveling Table, Event Kode for the beautiful balloon arch.
We could not have made this event possible without all of our volunteers and partnering departments, County Coordinators, GRADD Staff, Ohio County Park, Ohio County Solid Waste, and Ohio County Fiscal Court Maintenance.

Thank you to those Elected Officials and representatives who were able to attend and see how special these events are to the seniors in our communities.

This year Marks the 30th Anniversary of Ohio County Senior Services.

We want to thank Brandy Wells from the Extension Office for bringing us a delicious treat today. She also helped us challenge our brain today.
We celebrated Amber’s birthday with cake and ice cream from her mom.
Shorty and Roger finished a beautiful puzzle today. They have already started a new one to work.
Several were playing pool today and enjoying each other’s company.
Come out and enjoy the center on Monday,Wednesday Thursday and Friday. Activities begin at 10:00 and lunch is served at 11:30. Cost is $1.50 for age 60 and over. This Friday we will be hosting GRADD counties for Senior Games. Time 10-2 in the park. Also celebrating 30 years of the Senior Services in the park.
