YOUmedia Hartford YOUmedia hartford is a digital learning and maker space for teens 13-19. YOUmedia started at Harold Washington Library in Downtown Chicago in 2009.

A place where teens could freely explore their own interests, the space became popular and gained nationwide attention for its innovative programs. YOUmedia is changing the role of libraries in learning. YOUmedia Hartford is a next generation digital learning and maker space for teens ages 13-19 only. Our combination of professional tools, eager learners, and skilled mentors sets the bar for infor

Today at YOUMedia, we got to watch an incredible project come to life! One of our young makers built a battery-powered helicopter and decided to test it in the sun. And guess what? It worked! ☀️🚁⚡ Seeing the solar power kick in was a true moment of innovation and fun. This is exactly what STEM is all about – creativity, experimentation, and success!
