☀️What a summer!

For six incredible weeks, Capable Kids Camp filled Harc with adventure, fun, friendship, and unforgettable experiences. From reconnecting with their favorite Camp Counselors and making new friends to swimming, sports, arts and crafts, STEM activities, and daily adventures at Camp Courant, our campers embraced every opportunity to learn, grow, and shine.

This summer, we watched campers build confidence, strengthen social skills, form meaningful friendships, and achieve milestones that will stay with them long after camp ended. Whether they were exploring the CT Science Center, meeting animals at Mystic Aquarium, bowling with friends, or celebrating the final day at Quassy Amusement Park, every moment was filled with joy and discovery.

None of this would be possible without our dedicated counselors, staff, families, and community partners who work together to create an inclusive and supportive environment where every camper can succeed.

Thank you for another amazing summer of growth, connection, and memories. We can't wait for next year! 🌟

How much stronger would our workforce be if everyone had equal opportunity? ♿

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), a time to embrace the talents, contributions, and achievements of workers with disabilities.

Everyone deserves a fair wage. Yet individuals with disabilities earn just 83 cents for every dollar earned by workers without disabilities. Creating inclusive workplaces starts with opportunity, support, fair wages, and recognizing the value every employee brings to the workplace.

At Harc, we're working to change that through meaningful employment opportunities, job coaching through our Supported Employment Program, and workplace inclusion.
