We’re excited to welcome Pete Collins of Travelers to the Greater Hartford Arts Council Board of Directors!

Pete brings a deep appreciation for the arts and a commitment to strengthening community programming and supporting local artists across our region. Outside of his professional work, Pete enjoys cooking and speaking Italian—bringing both creativity and cultural connection into everything he does.

“I have long believed that artistic expression, in all of its forms, inspires a sense of wonder, creativity, and the ability to see different perspectives—and that people in all walks of life should have the opportunity to experience the arts.”

Please join us in welcoming Pete to the GHAC community! 🎨

GHAC Welcomes Aaron Lyles of Nesolagus to the Board of Directors!

"The arts aren't the backdrop to community life. They're the foundation of it."

For too long, the arts have been categorized as a nice-to-have, but the truth is, they are at the center of everything else we do. They shape how communities see themselves, connect, and grow. GHAC doesn't just help the arts thrive. It helps tell the story of how vital artists and their work are to the heartbeat of a vibrant region like Greater Hartford. I'm proud to serve on a board that understands culture isn't a luxury. It's infrastructure.

Since 1967, the Paul Brown Monday Night Jazz series has brought world-class and local jazz artists to Bushnell Park — completely free for our community.

But free concerts still come with real costs.

In today’s climate, we need your support to keep this beloved Hartford tradition alive.

Join the Hartford Jazz Society, Black-Eyed Sally's, and the Greater Hartford Arts Council for this special fundraiser.

🎶 All proceeds support concerts, scholarships, and jazz education.
🎶 Your attendance helps ensure the music continues this summer.

Come out. Show up. Keep Hartford’s jazz legacy playing.
