This page started out as a small group of more so children then adults who began a 13 year journey of giving back to the community by simply coming together, learning, and sharing how to get involved to spread hope and kindness to others.
We have done well over the years, servicing over 9k individuals with different types of charitable donations from 2012-present. This was accomplished by connecting community needs to community groups, organizing and distributing holiday drives, food pantry drives, as well ancer awareness events, among many other projects in coordination with classroom community service learning, and athletic groups at several schools including QVCC, Plainfield High School, CRI, CT DCC, and many local buisnesses.
Along the way we have learned many things about how difficult it can be to to organize and guide community based projects without a 501c3.
After some further research..... we have found that we are able reach more community with ease by existing as, "unincorporated association" & "community club project". This gives us more open availability to partner up with the many organizations, local small buisnesses, classroom, school, athletic, and community groups that want to get involved and keep the spirit of community together.
We continue to follow basic charitable guidelines, doccument all activities, keep detailed records, and maintain a public transparent page as to make sure that all donations go to the intended destination or person/s.
PHAP welcomes and encourages all volunteers looking to get involved as well as those in need to contact us and get involved. We offer this page, our contacts, and what resources are available to us at the time throughout CT to partner with us to run and direct charitable projects and events.
Together we have and can continue to make a difference.
Please take the time to see our past events and projects. If you or your group would like to partner with us to organize and execute a charitable event or project please contact us and we will kindly offer what services, resources, and connections we have available.
PHAP is a volunteer unincorporated association a community club, and as such we are protected under the CT and Federal Volunteerism laws and regulations.
