This next chapter of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford begins with an extraordinary leader.
We are thrilled to welcome Alise Dixon, as our new President and CEO. Alise’s connection to this movement is as personal as it gets. She began in 2007 as a part-time dance instructor at a Club in Dayton, Ohio, showing up every day for young people the same way Club staff show up here in Hartford. That frontline experience never left her, it grounded everything that came after.
Over the nearly two decades since, she has led organizations through challenge and growth, rebuilt community trust from the ground up, expanded Boys & Girls Clubs of Amarillo from a single site to thirteen locations, shaped a national quality-improvement framework that reached more than 4,800 Clubs across the country, and most recently served as Chief Program Officer at Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Detroit, where her work touched the lives of more than 15,000 young people every year.
She has seen what this movement can do when it operates at its best. Now, she is bringing all of that experience, all of that heart, to the city where the movement was born. Hartford has been giving young people a place to belong for more than 165 years. Alise Dixon is ready to carry that legacy forward, and we cannot wait to see what she builds alongside our youth, our families, our staff, and this community.
Welcome to Hartford, Aliseđź’™ We are so excited to have you!
