Share your patriotism by displaying a 3-foot by 5-foot flag on Hartford and Humboldt boulevards on Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, and Veterans Day. An annual subscription to this service is $50.00, which includes placing and retrieving the flags and storage. The project is also a fundraiser for community youth groups, as they assist the Club on the five holidays. Proceeds go toward youth and family programs in the communities we serve. On Tuesday, May 12, Aubrey Borns, Ayla Kramer, Ada Strunk, and Kenasyn Johnson received the Hartford Humboldt Optimist Club Scholarship for their commitment to Volunteerism. Congratulations!

At the February 19th meeting, the Hartford Humboldt Optimist Club honored Greg Honl as the 2025 Optimist of the Year. Greg's dedication and tireless volunteer efforts have made a lasting impact on our community, inspiring others to embrace optimism and service. His commitment to helping those in need and uplifting the spirits of everyone around him truly embodies the spirit of this award. Thank you, Greg!

Hartford Humboldt Optimist Club Tri-Fold Flyer

From October 21 to November 7, the Hartford Humboldt Optimist Club held its 2nd Annual Book Drive at the elementary schools, and once again, it was a huge success! Thank you to all who donated!

On Wednesday, December 17th, Club President Sherri Goebel and Club Treasurer Greg Honl delivered the books to four community organizations.

Sherri and Greg delivered 600 books to Children's Home Society of South Dakota in Sioux Falls. Accepting the books was Kelly.

They delivered 1,200 books to Sarah and Sarah at EmBe in Sioux Falls.

Furniture Mission of South Dakota had two college-age volunteers home on Christmas break who accepted 1,000 books!

They also delivered 400 books to Reach Literacy. Nicole accepted the books.

They also donated 600 books to Hartford's Hometown Christmas, Hartford SD. (not pictured).

That is a total of 3,800 books donated to organizations that will give the books to the youth in our communities. Congratulations and thank you to everyone for a remarkable job!
