☕✨ Learning by Doing at Grounds 4 Change Café! ✨☕

Our young ladies had an incredible hands-on learning experience this week as they continued building real-world barista and entrepreneurship skills!

A huge thank you to Story & Soil Coffee for welcoming us and to Mylan, who taught our youth the fundamentals of espresso making—from pulling the perfect shot to steaming milk correctly and creating delicious lattes. The girls gained valuable hands-on experience and confidence behind the espresso machine.

We also want to thank Ovelle Coffee and Sasha for introducing our students to the fascinating journey of coffee—from understanding different coffee bean varieties to roasting their own beans! Our youth had the opportunity to roast both Sumatra and Costa Rica coffee beans while learning how origin influences flavor and aroma.

These experiences are about so much more than coffee. They're about exposing our youth to new career pathways, teaching technical skills, building confidence, and creating opportunities they can carry with them into the future.

We're grateful to our community partners who continue to invest their time, knowledge, and passion into the next generation. 💙
