There is STILL TIME to HELP. Join us tomorrow at 12 at Barnard Park in Hartford to serve fresh, warm meals, a supply bag, water, a smile and a moment of recognition.

Join us in contributing to a good cause this holiday season as the Connecticut Bar Association partners with Food4Lives, a nonprofit dedicated to uplifting unhoused and underserved communities by providing vegetarian meals, clothing, and toiletries.

How to Participate:

Donate winter clothing (jackets, socks, gloves, etc.) and toiletries (toothbrushes, toothpaste, toilet paper, etc.) through Friday, December 18. Please drop off any donations at the CBA Office (538 Preston Avenue, 3rd Floor, Meriden, CT 06450) during business hours (Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.), or purchase directly from this wishlist and have it sent to the CBA Address: 538 Preston Avenue, 3rd Floor, Meriden, CT 06450. Please make a note and let us know who sent it so we can give you a shoutout!

Join us on Thursday, December 18 at the CBA office (538 Preston Avenue, 3rd Floor, Meriden, CT 06450) for a gift bag assembly event where we will organize donated clothing and toiletries for distribution. Attendees will be provided with wine, tea, hot cocoa, and snacks. Cook a vegetarian dish and help distribute the food and donations at Hartford’s Barnard Park on Sunday December 21. The event is at 12pm, please arrive by 11:45 am. Can’t cook? Just join us to distribute food and gift bags to those in need. Can’t stay? Feel free to just drop off your vegetarian dish.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Yesterday I shared a class about gratitude and I realized that seva (selfless service), is one of the highest offerings of gratitude. When we serve others, we are directly connecting to their Divinity and directly serving and offering our gratitude to the Divine. It is perhaps one of the highest expressions of gratitude we can give.

I am beyond grateful for this group of self-less souls that does whatever part they can, large or small, in supporting the Food4Lives mission to love and serve others. It is incredible to me how everyone does their part and has kept this train moving and the organization growing since our inception in 2022.

Thank you for serving the Divine in others and for your unique expression of gratitude. It means the world to so many. I am beyond grateful to serve alongside with you and look forward to continuing to grow this organization so that we can touch more souls. 💕

Mother’s Day last week was more than a meal and heartfelt connections. Thanks to Linnea Rooted Dreams Floral and Design Company LLC, every divine woman served in Hartford and Middletown was gifted a beautiful carnation. It really is the small things that make a world of difference 💕
