Congratulations to Attorney Meghan M. Burns, Partner at Ruel Burns Feldman Kukucka & Britt LLC, on being elected President of the Hartford County Bar Association at the Association’s 2026 Annual Meeting held at The Bushnell on May 20, 2026.
Also elected to serve as Officers of the Association were:

• Trent A. LaLima, Secretary
• Moy N. Ogilvie, Past President
The evening featured keynote remarks from Hon. Erick Russell, Connecticut State Treasurer.
The Hartford County Bar Association also recognized distinguished members of the legal community with the following honors:
• The John M. Bailey Memorial Award for Public Service — Honorable A. Susan Peck (Ret.)
• The William (Bill) R. Davis President’s Award — Attorney James W. Bergenn
• The Judge Maxwell Heiman Memorial Award — Attorney Matthew K. Stiles
Established in 1783, the Hartford County Bar Association is believed to be the oldest continuously operating bar association in the United States. The organization remains dedicated to promoting public service and advancing the principles of law and justice throughout Hartford County.
